OEM tint getting the ugly block grid

so my door windows and back window are getting that horrid block grid thing from the stock tint, which is like 95% i think. this is something i cannot stand at all and i see it all the time and i don't recall it being there last summer when i bought the car. is this supposed to happen (i hope not) and if not, warranty? i'm kind of hoping it is so i can get actual factory tinted windows on the off chance that they're nice enough.
