OEM Spoiler Indent

Just had to ask this since I can't seem to find any previous reference to this topic before.

Why does the factory supplied spoiler on the hatchback sport model have a square indent in the very center on its leading edge?

Initially I thought it had something to do with the radio antenna but said antenna comes nowhere close to the spoiler in any hatch position.

If u are talking about those the small one is for the window washer fluid and the big one is obviously for the brake lights. Otherwise i have no idea what u talking about.

Your picture is of the underside or trailing edge of the spoiler. My querry concerns the indent on the leading or top edge of the spoiler in the center, facing forward.

My spoiler has the little indent on top too ... Never really questioned it before.
You can see it in my picture here with the hatch partially open. Notice it to the right:
