Any way we can obtain this type of information for the QR25DE engine? I am still waiting for the Chilton/Haynes to come out for the newer generation of Altimas.

Possibly, I can print out the back of the EM section of the service manual. Give me a couple days to "sneak" it out of the shop.

the comptesiomn ratio on the 93 and 94 240sx is 8.6:1 95-98 is 9.5:1 the 93 - 98 altima is 9.2:1 -- from chilitons

the ka24e is 8.6:1 also -- thats from nissan

Chiltions / haynes realy suck call the dealer and ask for the 800 # to get the factory repair manual its bigger than the chiltions i have that covers 93 - 98 240 / and altimas and if u think all there pitchers are there or right ur on crak get the fatcory 1 -- MoNK

You're right - Chiltons and Haynes don't have all the correct info...

The CORRECT specs are (for the 240SX KA):

'89 to early '90 SOHC = 9.1:1

Late '90 SOHC = 8.6:1, you can tell if it's 8.6:1 motor if it has an intake air temp sensor...

'91-98 DOHC = 9.5:1

any way we can post up the OE cam profiles(duration, etc...)so I know when nissan changed from the "agressive" cams to the more city driven cams (from 240-248 to 232-232, I think..)-chet(note, I know it was in 93 or something, but does anyone have the MFR date, and know for sure the cam profiles...I have a 93 and need to know what cams are in it.)

Hey guys, that information is solid information, but i have a challenge for you nissan guys. Im in school right now and for one of my big projects im planning on drawing the nissan KA24DE/T or the SR20DET in a program in 3d, it will be an actual working model in an mpg clip. But theres a problem I cant seem to find the dimensions to make the block, the cams and the rockers cover, basically the outside dimensions. i dont knwo if those Haynes/Chilton books will help, i highly doubt they will although i havent tqaken a look at them yet, but if anybody can help me out with this data, please msg me back ASAP.
