How many ohms of resistance does the OEM spark plug wires have? How thick are the stock wires (mm).

According to the FSM, anything less than 30K ohms is OK. Not sure how thick the stock wires are.

i think name of the game is less is better. Meaning, less resistance stronger spark better burning!!!

Richard A Parr wrote:I looked in the Service Manual and couldn't find an exact number of ohms. On the checks that the manual guides you through, itstates: plug wires, check for resistance: no resistance, replacewires. I seem to recall reading somewhere 14.00 ohms ? Hopefullysomeone will provide you with the correct number If I am wrong.

I don't know the size in mm either. Is that important?

Hope this helps. Getting cold in Canada yet?

Yeah its getting pretty cold in Canada. I really don't like the cold, I think I'll move to some place thats warm all year round when I'm ready to move out.

Thanks for the help guys, I am trying to decide whether buying new accel 300+ Thundersport wire set is actually worth it. The Accel website says that these wires have 130 ohms of resistance/ft.
