S14s had non-BB T25s and T28s

S15s had BB T28s

maybe someone could straighten it out for me.

S13s had a T25, S14s and 15s T28s. I bought my S14 turbo brand new and if it isn't ball bearing it is the most-goshdurned-fastest bushing turbo in the history of pressurized air. The first time I punched it I almost went through a fence it was so much faster and powerful that the T-2-small on the CA.

Specifications for the S14 Black Top SR20DET with VTC(Found on the 95-98 Silvia) Horsepower: 220hp @ 6000rpm Torque: 203 ft/lbs @ 4800rpm Turbo Specs: Compressor: T-28, 60 trim 60mm BCI-1 compressor in T-04B housing Turbine: T-25, 62 trim 53.8mm 0.64 A/R turbine housing. Center Section: Ball Bearing S14 SR20DET's use a different ECU and harness, these are extremely expensive and hard to find. Variable valve timing system and a different turbo are the significant changes from the S13 SR20DET engines. The S13 uses a "low port" intake design vs. the S14 "high port" design.

S15 T28's are BB in japan and Europe

S14 T28's from JAPAN are BB

S14 T28's from Europe are NOT BB

S13 T25G are NOT BB.

How to tell if you have a JDM T28 or a Euro T28

On the front inlet turbine there are 2 numbers after M24, They will either be 1-1 or 1-2

1-1 is a S14 T28, 1-2 is a S15 T28

On your stam it will also show

14411 is Japanese

14450 or a differant # is from eurpoe and UK
