OEM Rotors with 55k miles

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Hello All, I just replaced my wife's EX with PowerStop Evolutions. It is the low cost solution but afterward I test drive the car and the performance has improved in many folds. The OEM rotors on this car have around 55k on it. My question to you; it's necessary to keep the OEM Rotors for spare? Or should I simply chuck it? Thanks.

I don't know how the powerstops fare over the long run. If you expect them to fare well, then turn in the old rotors as scrap. You already feel that the brake upgrade has resulted in a significant improvement over stock. More importantly, if your wife is the primary driver of the car and she's happy with the upgrade, then I don't see a reason why you would want to go back to the OEM parts.

Just my $0.02.

I was thinking about the same. By the time I resurface the old rotors and new pads; it may cost as much as powerstops replacement. So I will trash the rotors. Thanks.
