ok well got me a new long bock, still need a set of pistons cant offord forged.

does anyone have a good set of stock pistons.

the engine i pick up had low comp on cyl 3 and the head gasket been changed so it has to be rings, valves, or piston and the previous owner said the valves and head are good so unless it rings i th its a cracked ring land, since it was a top mount rb25 turbo setup probably improperly tuned so im probably still in the need of some pistons.

let me know if anyone can help me out.

thanks nico.

don't get pistons until you know they are bad. If the pistons are indeed shot buy new stock pistons and rings.

$80 a piece? that is a 100% markup! The last time I checked pistons they were about $40 a piece and the ring set was $120.

I think I remember seeing OE cast pistons being more expensive that forged aftermarket.
