Hey, quick noob question, and yes I did search. I was wondering how easy it is for you all to get stock replacement parts for the RB series motors? I noticed after searching that a lot of basic things (plugs, filters, etc) are compatible with the Z32 so no worries there. I was curious though about things like water/oil pump, alternator, etc. Can these be easily ordered? Also I saw that a GTR FSM had been posted so I guess that makes torque specs and clearances available as well. These are the only 2 things that turned me off the whole motor swap thing (well that and the wiring..). If they aren't a problem then that could change my plans. :o

Thanks in advance.

http://www.rbmotoring.com can source stuff so can http://www.dragdriftautox.com/ ive never dealt with DDX but the owner is a nice guy. ive done business with victor at RBmotoring and will be doing it again in the future =)

other places like venus-auto, mckinney motorsports etc can get parts also. its really not THAT hard to find them, just be prepared to wait a little

Thanks.. that's a help.. the idea is pretty tempting. I know you're doign it Kamin because I used to see you post on Honda-Tech. Have you gotten your clip yet? Any problems? I still haven't found a 240 I like yet but I am still trying to decide my path ahead of time (right now probably KADET but maybe RB25). Thanks..

KA-TKA-TKA-TKA-T

unless you buy a 240 with a blown motor. That was my idea until my KA blew up.

Not really. i think swaps are overrated. Sure I have one, but if I had a decent KA, I would turbo it. I tried to get a KA, but most peopel on forums dont want to go through the hassel of shipping one, so I got a swap instead

I think swaps are overrated too but I'd rather have an I6 than an I4. Plus it's a little bigger and has lots of aftermarket support.

That is the whole point as to why swaps are overrated. If more people did more things with the KA, it would have better aftermarket support.....

Good point. :) But you can't deny the advantage of 2 extra cylinders. Not to mention the RB is a factory turbo motor so you start out with a good base. But you do have a point..

Oh well.. I still gotta find a 240 :(
