Hi All,

I'm new to the site and I've just received my RA96 shift knob today. I've gone through the sticky and I only saw one mention of how to remove the OEM knob. I assume since nobody disagreed with the post that all you need to do is turn the knob counter clockwise for removal. My problem is that my knob will not loosen up at all. I've tried pliers but the knob has only turned halfway from its original position.

I'm just wondering how much pressure am I supposed to be applying because the amount of pressure I'm putting into this doesn't seem right. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Keep turning. It's not easy, keep turning.I used my hands, but a pipe wrench should work well.

Just make sure your turning it the right way and not tightening it instead. When my knob is on all the way and facing forward I can still turn it about 1/4 to 1/3 of the way around again. If it doesnt work in the way your turning it, try turning it the other way. I never had a problem taking mine off
