Hi all.

Anyone who has seen the badass white Canadian Leopard at "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0A7l4Nbe ... re=related" might have noticed it has (among other things) very nice color-coded splashguards. When I asked my local dealer about ordering a set, they looked at me like an alien and said they had no such part, so I gave up on getting some until a week ago when I saw a local J sporting a full set of 4. After seeing that car, I re-visited this forum and -lo and behold - saw someone selling a set (since sold).

Long story short, I contacted InfinitiPartsUSA and, sight unseen, purchased the very last "OEM J30 splashguard kit" in their entire freekin American inventory for $183 plus shipping (part #F3820-10Y15). They had no picture to show me, so I really have no idea what's going to show up in the box for my hard-earned cash, which leads to my question: does anyone here have OEM USDM splash guards and do they look anything at all like the ones on the youtoube Leopard??

Thanks

RT

The owner of that Leopard used to post here often. The engine is really cool.
Totally different intake than the US models.
I often wonder where he went !

US/Canadian and Japanese splash guards where all the same. You will probably have to get yours painted to match your body colour.

Thanks guys. Great news about the splash guards being the same. I figured I'd have to paint them since I'm willing to bet they are going to be white.

As for the youtube Leopard, last time I visited the video it noted that the car was for sale.

Just a followup on this thread in case anyone cares, the OEM splash guards duly arrived and they indeed were: 1) the same as the JDM/Canadian style, and 2) painted white just as I predicted (to this date, I have never seen OEM splashguards on a J30 that were any color other than white--very odd). They also were easy to install and fit perfectly. Well worth the investment if you are running fat tires/wide wheels.

PS, Because my J is a very dark green ("Black Emerald" to be exact) I sprayed the splash guards a gloss plack and they look perfectly fine for now, but when I get around to ordering some paint and re-shooting my front and rear bumpers to get rid of a few "park-by-feel" boo boos, I'm definitely going to shoot the guards in emerald green as well.

Excellent question. Thought it would be a click and paste a gaggle of pics, but - not so much. Once I get around to setting up an a Photobucket or similar account I'll be doing just that. However, in the meantime, I will email some half decent pics I have taken already directly to anyone who would like t see them, along with full permission to post them here.

Correction: Thought it would be "easy" to cut and past a gaggle of pics.

BTW, nice looking J30. Like the wheels.

Sorry for being so slow to get some pics up. I know how annoying discussions can be without freekin photographs and now I'm "that guy..."

Thanks, I just upgraded to the 19" forged Rays, just need to get a good pic. You can email them to me [email protected] and I will post them for you. How much did you end up paying for these?

Sent you 3 "OK" pics I snapped the other day. Honestly, they look far better in person and do an excellent job in protecting the fenders. I'll take some better ones after work. The set of 4 came to $183 plus shipping from InfinitipartsUSA, but they are out of stock now. They may be available via other means though. Look at my first post for the OEM part number.

I only received 2 of the 3 and they were almost the same shot. Are those the 35th anniversary wheels? They look like they fit very well.

I believe they are, the paint used on this wheel is a very, very nice shimmering silver and they are the best shaped of the various 5 spoke 350z stock wheels IMO. And yes, they fit just right as far as how far they protrude. Still want to lower the car though to get the fender gap a bit smaller (even though the wheel/tire combo is actually slightly taller than the stock 215 setup). BTW, I thought the wheels would look too aggressive on our car, but they looked WAY better installed than I figured they would.

Hard to see the splashguards in the picture as posted (typical :/, they are plainly visible on my original pic but lost resolution on transmission). Just sent two more which "might" be better. When I took them, I was too lazy to move the car and pose it well to fcus on the guards.

Here are the other 2. The forum here resizes photos when you post them and doesnt show the original size when clicked. I wish my paint was as clean looking as yours, I definitely need a respray along with some undamaged f/r bumper covers.

Original owner garaged it since new. Wonderfully colored tan interior looks almost new as well. Paid $2,500 for it with 88k one the odometer 8 months ago. Bragged to everyone that it was the best deal I ever made out of almost 50 cars I've purchased over the years -- then the #@%!! transmission started to slip in 3rd and 4th. Sigh.

$2,100 later and I'm still very fond of the car though. These cars are much underappreciated. Too bad hardly anyone knows they are RWD and thinks they are a type of Maxima.

Anyway, don't be alarmed by the huge hairy spider above my door in the photos. Just a Cain Spider. We grow 'em big here. Only dangerous if you are under 3 feet tall.
