OEM iPod cable doesn't charge newer generation iPod

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Everything is fine with my iPod classic but my daughter's iPod touch plays but doesn't charge (and I think it displays "device incompatible" message). I know I had this issue with her iPod on my prev. car.
Anyone knows if a newer cable is available?

*Search* is your friend.

Several threads out there, with respect to newer versions of Apple Hardware not working in EX35's. I've complied them all, so start reading...

Yea, I've seen some of those yesterday. Most of the posts are older & I was hoping Nissan changed their adapter and I'll hear a good news from someone who owns a 2010 (2011?) car. After all, it shouldn't be a huge change. I remember, a while ago I was researching iPod plugs & there was a bunch of diagrams of pins for the connectors. Possibly, there's a way to modify the existing adapter??? I haven't look into that yet

Well the good news is they did change.. bad news is it's not the adapter and won't help you. There's simply a USB port on the 2010 models. Therefore, no special cable needed.. just your standard iPod/iPhone USB cable. Also accepts memory sticks..
