maybe the bulb, maybe the ballast... switch out the light from the other side and see what happens... if it happens with the other light also, you may need a new ballast... if its the light, i suggest replacing BOTH lights at the same time... maybe consider jumping up to 5000K instead of the factory 4300Kmannytrinidad wrote:Hi guys, i notice last night that one of my stock HID (passanger side), is lighting a red/magenta color. It power on good, but after few seconds, it's get a magenta color. Maybe the bulb will fail soon but i don't know.
Anyone has this problem??
yeah, what he saidboystar22 wrote:I agree, with swapping the bulbs from the other headlight to see if the problem follows the bulb or not. Generally though when the bulb starts to turn pink its nearing the end of it's life-cycle and the xenon gas has depleted to the point where it's failing to ignite properly.
If it is indeed the bulb that needs to be replaced, replace both the driver and passenger side at the same time so the color matches, or you'll notice that the older bulb (while still white) is pinker than the new one because it is older.
Thanks for the info!rjdmmfl1 wrote:

You can also take the wheels off and pull the fender liner back and get to the bulbs through the wheel well rather than taking off the front bumper. It's still a pain but much simpler.mannytrinidad wrote:
