OEM headlight wiring harness question for HID project

I came across a digital HID kit that draws a max 6.5A current at startup where the ballasts would plug directly into the stock wiring harness. Does anyone know what the max current draw is for the OEM headlight wiring harness?

There's an option to buy a separate harness to bypass the OEM one that will hook up directly to the battery but it would cost more. Just wondering if this would be the safer bet vs. the simplicity of the just plugging them in directly to the stock harness.
