I've got a 1991 240sx and I was wondering what year nissan cd player/radios would plug and play into my car? Did the harness change over the years? Would an OEM head unit from a 2000 Altima plug and play onto my car's harness? I did a search but couldn't find what I was looking for. Any help would be great. Thanks!

Is there some reason you want to take a stereo from another car? Aftermarket CD players aren't that expensive, and wiring them is a piece of cake.

Bingo! I'm becoming broke because of the swap I'm doing. So...can anyone answer my question? :(

hmm...the plugs did change from model to model, the best I could recommend would be to go to best buy and buy an adapter that has the standard wires on one side and plugs up to your original harness (if you want to use a diff. nissan deck...actually it would work for an aftermarket one too)

I guess there are some exceptions, though. Reason being is because I use to have an NX2K and I took the aftermarket radio off of there with the harness attached. The harness attached to the 240sx harness, but I broke the radio and the harness. So instead of buying a new aftermarket head unit, I figure I just get an OEM one and kill two birds with one stone. Besides, I'm not into aftermarket audio. I just need something that can play CDs or listen to the radio and has good quality.
