I know, this was covered in another thread not too long ago. The S model can't use the OEM foglights because they're not prewired with the piggyback and the harness.

My model is the SL and people say that the SL is already prewired for the foglights. Is it necessary to check and make sure that my car is prewired for the foglights or am I good to go? If I need to check, where is it located?

Sorry if I'm dragging a milked thread around, but I want to be 110% positive and purchase something and find out I can't use it and waste money.

all you have to do is look under the hood on each side of the back area where the radiator is in front of each side of the engine. they should just be hangin around.

i thought i had a S model versa that had been upgraded, guess i have a SL model that was downgraded, cuz im prewired.

you should see the little yellow connectors dangling... I'm pretty positive all SLs are pre-wired... but mine has every package except the sport package and the ABS package...

to ElDiablo... I think the S's with the power package were pre-wired too...

I popped off the foglight covers and checked. I didn't see anything there, no wires, nothing. Maybe they're tucked in somewhere else. I'll take a look some more and see if I find anything else.

They're not dangling in the bumper. Pop open your hood and look at the corners.

I think I found mine. They are hard to see from the top. They hang straight down and are clipped to the bumper support. Looking down from the top, they are easier to find on the driver's side than on the passenger side. You may want to look at this thread for pics:

My '08 S is pre-wired. I found the harnesses behind the bumper when I was installing my CAI. This could just be an '08 and newer thing.

I assume you have the power package as well?

I thought I was S.O.L. having an S for the pre-wire thing, but i do have the Power Package. Has anyone checked if the 09's are good to go?

i have the '09 s (because i wanted a manual) and so i just went out and looked under the hood. i definitely didn't see anything dangling... but i'll look again when it doesn't require a flashlight.
