Does anyone know where I can get OEM fog lights for the 2007 M35X cheaper than at the dealership? I don't know if it is just the bulb is burnt out or if the whole housing has to be replaced when it burns out. Can anyone help?

You do not have to replace the entire housing. Just the bulb. Always replace in pairs. Usually when one goes, the other one is close behind. Another reason to replace in pairs would be the difference in illumination color or brightness. You wouldn't want that. The bulb type needed is: H11-55watt This may be a good time to upgrade them to a better brighter halogen bulb to better match your HID lamp color.

Hope this helps!

H11 is the style bulb replacement. PIAA makes some good ones for the price. They are brighter. Just search their site.Maybe someone else will give other recommendations as well.

Take a look at this link...

http://www.everythingnissan.co...gid=0

It is a fog light assembly for a 2008 (or 2007) maxima. It appears to be IDENTICAL except for the M35 you DO NOT need the mounting bracket(illustration #6). It costs about $50 less...image that!

I discerned this because I had to remove a fog from my M to triage a broken bracket from hitting a tire on the road.

I also took a close look at the 2009 Maxima two days ago. Its front fog light assy. seems to be the same design except the LENS IS CRYSTAL CLEAR compared to my 2007 M35. No 2009 version of this part listed that I can see.

If you are going to convert to HID for your FOG lights, what Kelvin temp are you guys putting on? What matches best with our low beam HID color?

I was thinking of going to 8000K, too blue?

Yeah, I believe 8000K will be a bit too far off from the OE HID Kelvin color. Possibly 6000K and no more. There are just so many threads on this that even if you searched for it, there will be so many different recommendations that it would almost put you right back where you started at......We really need some sticky's on good well know useful upgrades only. This would help all of us here so much. A good reference guide is what we are missing for upgrades that work for our cars.I hope the moderators are listening....?????We need a section in: Interior/ exterior lighting upgrades, recommended tire upgrades, performance upgrades, and maintenance upgrades.

Amen to that!!

It is very difficult to search and find these types of quality answers on even the few mod options available - stickies would be fabulous!
