OEM fan clutch install

So me and my bud installed a new fan clutch to my pretty much stock '93 240sx. After the install it sounded like a hell ofa blower (wind) was goin through the engine. I asked mechanic friend about the sound and he said after the fluid was distributed it wouldnt sound so funky... However when I rev it up to around 35-40k rpm i hear a streaking sound (like the belt is rubbing on something)... did we tighten it to much?Also the new fan varied in from the original one... (i.e. screws and shape/style)

upon closer inspection.... it was a loose alternator belt
