OEM CD player play CD-R's in an S14?

Hey Guys,

Simple, quick question. Does the stock cd player in an S14 play CD-R Disks? I am flying down to Houston to pick my new 240sx up, and driving it back to Utah. I want to know if I can take some burned disks down there, or just leave them home.

My stock CD player plays CD-Rs, but only some of them. I can't figure out a pattern for why some work and why some dont. I can tell you that it will definitely be able to play some, if not most of them.

yea mine did the same thing. then it wouldnt play any of them. then it wouldnt play any cd's if i was moving, didnt like my suspension too much

A stock s14 cd player plays cd-rs fine. The trick is to burn your cds at a maximum speed of 8x. Slower burn = deeper burn in cd-r pits.

only certain ones like it doesnt play imation cds and a couple others
