Works with 2008+ SL with factory alarm. Basically enhances alarm with impacts to body and glass.

I did not know that the Versa had factory alarm as an option.

Just got it installed at the dealer. Now I feel more secure, cost is $125 took about 1 hr, 45 minutes. I believe it's worth it if you want to protect your belongings.

How do you know if your car is equipped with an alarm?

Leave the window rolled down, close all doors and lock the car with your remote. Wait 30 seconds, unlock the door from the inside and open the door, alarm should go off.

All SL models in the US have the Nissan Immobilizer System and the Vehicle Security System. The S only has the Immobilizer System and no alarm. Immobilizer uses a computer to cut off the fuel line (kill switch) so nobody can start the car without the correct key.

Yes, your car should already have the alarm since it's the SL. The impact sensor enhances the alarm so impacts to glass and body will make the alarm go off.

I am going to test this theory, if it works I will be getting the impact sensor.
