How much are the oe injectors? Also, will new oe injectors hold up against the ethanol?

So far in Atlanta all we can say is brand new oem injectors have lasted 10 months for the very first ones changed and 8-6 months when a higher number [a few hundred] have been changed --------- to date.

E10 first was sold in March 2008 in Atlanta.

Nissan provides a 12,000 mile or 12 month warranty on new parts sold by dealers. No labor just replace parts presented to parts department.

In addition to injector you need to purchase 2 each orings and a new lower rubber mount.

All in all about $200 each plus labor say $2100 for all 8 plus any hoses damaged during disassembly or from old age.

Most smart people replace spark plugs and reseal valve covers bringing it up to ~~ $3,000.

Usually another $1-3,000 in defects will be found like KS sensors, belts, pullies , etc.

I use to warn used Q45 buyers to prepare for $3,000 in repairs skipped by seller, now it seems we should add $2,000 to make the minimum reserve $5,000.

We have recently seen 3 newly purchased Prisitine low mileage Q where the AFTER PURCHASE INSPECTION averaged $5500.

And be sure to read Heath's (1990Q45) thread about his aftermarket injector trial with ethanol added fuel.

As we have been pointing out for 6+ years injector failure is totally dependent on the operator and the product assummed to be gasoline purchased by operator.

NOS is like crack for engines. Not a good idea unless you want a short life.

But like crack, the experience is good while it lasts.

But your so new, How do you know your engine can take it in its (unknown condition to us at least).
