hey guys, i sold a buddy some Z32 30mm calipers and he put them on his 98 Premiera (98 G20 in the states) w/ some brembo rotors, he used his OE brake lines with the Z32 calipers, he had to cut the bolt that went into the caliper, and it worked.. :rolleyes

now it has held up well for over a month now, not a problem...

can i do this with my S13 coupe?? i am currently installing the PDM swaybar and poly pushing kit form whiteline and have R32 (Z32) alluminum 30mm Calipers and rotors (drilled 4 lug) and was going to put them on now as the car is down,

Will the OE S13 lines work on Z32 calipers? maybe modifying the line bolt that goes into the caliper, similar to what my P11 buddy did??

reason i ask is cause i plan on gettin the steel braided lines, but as you can guess i am outside the US and takes a lil while for them to get here, or to find somewhere that can fabricate them with teh correct fittings..

thanks..

i did the same thing with just putting a washer to make it shorter but i think it would be safer and it would stop better with the braided lines. they arent that expensive. pdm sells conversion lines for my car and they didnt take too long to get here.

i am going to get the lines, just wanted to know if i can use the OE lines for now, it will take a couple weeks for them to reach me in T&T, and my engine will be complete by then and i want to break in the motor asap, dont want the car to be down cause of brake lines.... and its the holidays i want my S13 to run around in.

i think that you CAN using a set of washers or something but its obviously not very safe.

I would want to go with the lines that have the proper fittings. Things don't like to fail when you are not in the line of fire.

Why have them fail when you are driving when a simple upgrade can save you the trouble.

The lines are sold by Heavy Throttle, Project Nissan, PDM, Enjuku must have them as well as Jspec.

Just get the right lines.

We've been using the our stainless brake lines on our S15 for nearly a year now with no problems.

We sell the set of 4 lines for $75 ... http://www.splparts.com/Silvia/Brake/Kit.htm
