I've had my s13 coupe for roughly 2 years now. It has the digital speedo cluster. It started to happen a little while back but now is becoming f=more frequent that the odometer and trip will only work periodically and for limited amounts of time. I've tried to search on this topic but i have not discovered much. Does anyone have any ideas?

Some extra info..
-odom/trip seem to work more often in warmer weather
-Speedo/tach still works 100% of the time

:wtf2:

Seems common - my ODO would stick at 800 miles for several dozen miles every time around. I actually told the buyer that it had 2% more miles than indicated. Never found a solution, but cleaning the mechanicals in the cluster would probably help.

It's never the same point that it gets stuck at. It will work for a few miles and then freeze. Then another day it will work for a few more miles.
Any ideas?
Is there any way to replace something internally in the cluster if that is the issue?

Unless your speedo stops working, the speed signal is making it to the cluster, so the issue would likely be in the mechanism. You could try cleaning the number wheels, but I would not advise disassembling them unless you have a spare or have done it before - looks tricky. You cold always swap to another cluster.
