Does anybody know if it's possible (well I guess anything is possible, but I mean more along the lines of how difficult this would be) to change the odometer/speedometer needles in the A/C...I don't like the red that much, I'd prefer if they were a bluish/bright white, along the lines of the new Civic, or the IS250/350 odometer needles.

It doesn't seem like it'd be that hard to just replace the needles, but then to get the lighting of the needles as well, seems like it might be pretty tough...and how about changing the red circular outlines around the odometer and speedometer? how much work would that be...?

theres a lot of places that make needle kits.. some of which i think are NICO sponsors. I dont think they have anything available for the coupe yet.. anyone check on this already?

The only thing I have been able to find has been for the '02-'04 Altima.

Hey I never knew it's possible to change the needles. if it's possible to do that, do you think it'd be possible to change the actual speedometer part (where it has the numbers and mph/kmph). Reason being I'm planning on buying my AC (eventually) from the US and bring it up to Canada since it's so much cheaper, but then all the numbers will be in MPH. It'd be awesome if it was semi easy to swap that with one from a Canadian AC, a KMPH sticker or whatever it is.

I've considered sending my gauge cluster to Caribbean Custom Designs but I need my car too much this summer...

I can vouch that they do absolutely fine work for the Scion/Echo crowd! What's nice is that they can do gauges with either miles or kilometers (your choice).Someone send them your gauge cluster and become part of the prototyping group!

Hey that's pretty neat. I don't think I'd really be comfortable shipping my entire gauge cluster somewhere, but gives me hope anyways

I emailed the guy from importcarpartsplus.com (they make the intelliglow needles) to see if they'd work on the A/C...I'll let you guys know when I hear back from him.

I e-mail import intelligence regarding this and said they have not completed testing on the A/C yet. Bummer

No time estimates were given so it can be months till they have something for the car....I trying to find the right size LED Bulb so I can atleast start by changing the orange on the dash cluster and anywhere else that lights up orange to blue.

Since you can change the needles and odometer/speedometer..can you also do the little digital screen that tells you the temp/gas gauge and mileage?

So I got a reply from the importcarsplus guy, here's what he said in a couple of emails to me:

I would have to see a closer picture of the needle itself. But if it is tinted in the middle red or orange then only the red or orange kit will work on the car. For the blue kit to work you would need the needle cleared then the bottom painted white.

I can’t tell from that picture. You will have to look at them from an angle. If the side of the needle is tinted red then only the red kit will work on it.

fwiw, here are the pics I sent him: http://www.flickr.com/photos/9...oard/

I'm not sure if the side of our needles are tinted red, but it seems as though only the red/orange kits will work with the A/C....

Changing the Bulbs on the Radio will be hell to do. You would more than likely have to dismantle the entire radio to get to the bulbs and I really don't wanna chance messing something up on the radio for the bulbs. I'm gonna be changing the head unit out so I won't have to worry about the orange there.

As to the digital screen, If I'm not mistaken that's an Led Display that Lights up Orange, it's the same type of display that's used on cell phones except it's orange. I don't think that there are led bulbs that light it up, the entire display may have to be replaced and that might cost an arm and a leg to do. I will check to see though if it is a LED Screen or Bulbs that make it light up orange......But give me a few weeks to do so cause I'm swamped with work.
