odometer question

my digital speedometer crapped out on me so i took it out and replaced with a unit that only reads km/h. now will this affect the odometer and trip? im guessing it would be, honestly i cant tell. on 10 bucks of gas for 91 at 3.99 gal= 2.5 gallons. the trip usually lands on 50km or miles when the low fuel light comes on. if its 50km that equals 32miles so i would be averaging 13miles a gallon

if that 50 is miles then that would be 20mpg which is the average on these cars.

what do you guys think?

The speedometer has little to no effect on the odometer.
