My actual odometer works fine, the miles are recorded and everything but my trip meter doesnt work. I opened it all up and some gear thing is broken on the number reals. I want to replace it but I cant find one online... could i fix it? would it effect my odometer?

I had fixed mine a while ago on a dodge. I was able to find the gear to do it. Here is a link, you may find the gear you are looking for...
