Hello all,

My Nissan dealership switched my 2013 altima odometer from miles to kilometers. I am trying to sell my car and no one will take it at market value do to this issue. When Nissan looked at the transmission they somehow changed a setting and i can't change it back. The dealership is trying to blame it on a bad cluster and charge me $1100 but everything works fine. Anybody have any thoughts on how to fix this issue?

Thanks!
Peter

Go to the cluster rebuilder yourself, talk to them. I do that stuff myself.

Just go to a different mechanic that rebuilds clusters? Sorry i am not too car savvy, just trying to fix the issue and get rid of this car.

On a '13 the cluster has very different parameters for storage of mileage than earlier models, most cluster shops can't reset them. Nissan's "official" shop is Model Electronics in Mahwah, NJ. They're not terribly expensive and can perform any operation needed on any Nissan cluster.
