odometer compatability

I have a 1993 240sx and my odometer wasn't working so i pulled it out and messed with it a little. I have deteremined the gearing is ok, and the contacts look ok too so I figured the servo motor must be bad. I have the panel from a 1990 240sx and I was going to just swap the servo motors from the two panels. But when I got ready to do it I noticed that the motors have different numbers written on the back, but otherwise look the same. Can anyone tell me whether the odometer servo from a 1990 will work with a 1993 panel? By the way, if you can think of anything else for me to try with the orginial odometer to maybe fix it, let me know. thanks.
