odd unknown bolt sticking out

does anybody know what bolt this is? if your looking down where the first pipe of a CAI is there is a bolt towards the bottom, but mine is extremely sticking out.

I can't really tell by the pic and know my will be covered up. But did it have something to do with the stock airbox?

no, had nothing to do with the stock air box. i just found it sticking out a few weeks ago and i have no clue what it is. seems like its bolted to a metal piece, i also found a black jelly type (grease?) around that area too but im not sure if its serious or anything. i tried taking it to the dealer and they want to charge $200 just for a diagnostic test. my car is lowered if that helps.

do you have a versa with CAI? if u do can u check how your bolt looks like? if its sticking out or anythign?

thats some sort of link to the subframe, theres another one on the other side too, just more toward the front..............the bolt on ours sticks out too, dont know why, im guessing to allow some flex..........

On mine the other side was sticking out and my dealer said it was not suppose to be that far out and under warranty they tighten it to spec and they are both tight to the chassis.

I would take it to your dealer again and inform them that even with your car lowered you never touched that bolt and it should be covered under your 3/36k warranty.
