odd starting problem

i was at work and i was getting ready to leave my car would not start the battery was not died i had someone try and jump start me but that did not help i went there this morning got in it and it started up just fine do you guys know what would case that problem i am think about replacing the starter so i don't have to worry about it going bad down the road

Your missing info....

If the car is a manual and always been manual you should consider the starter signal relay. Maybe remove and have the starter tested, as well as the battery. Could even be the ignition switch.

Removing the starter and battery only takes time, autozone or someone like that will test them for free.

where is the starter relay location at i have look but i cant seem to find it

check the button that your clutch pedal presses in when starting the car. my rubber stopper was loose and causing that type of crap to happen. then finally it completely broke off and that is how I noticed it. also, your battery terminals could be dirty, that has caused me the same problems too. start with the easy stuff.

my battery terminals are good and clean and i should also told you guys that my car is automatic

You don't have a start signal relay. You have an inhibit switch at the shifter thing, ignition switch, starter. Get the starter tested.

i think it is the start i was seeing if it would do it again and it would not start so i took a harmer to it and it started up just fine
