Ok so this has happened to me twice so far...

The other night im driving around 80 MPH and press in the clutch to cruise down to the speed limit.... but the car idle drops and DIES!! While im going 80... so i just turned the key off and then back on... car starts and goes again.

Today im leaving work, pull out (while car is still cold) and get up to 10 MPH and press the clutch in for a red light.... car DIED again!! BUT heres the tricky thing, i started it up and the idle bounced around 500-700 a few times till i revved it up and stomped on it in 1st.

Any one know what could cause this intermitent problem!?

does your car have A/C? And if so, is it on when this happens?

No the A/c is completely gone... and this problem has happened three times in the past 2 months.... the whole idle thing freaked me out after i started it tho.. im going to clean my air filter, T/B, and MAF to see if that helps at all.

I just replaced my NGK Iridium's with OEM nissan plugs for the SR... i may put the NGK's back in.... but i dont think this hasanything to do with it.HOW OFTEN ARE YOU SPOSED TO REPLACE IRIDIUMS?!?!?!

Dude i'll bet you anything its the bov. There is nothing that you can so (at least to my knowlege ) that you can fix the problem. Its not like its going to damage your engine if it does it every once in a while.

It has to do with the BOV being vented into the atmosphere, because of that, when you push in your clutch or let off the gas(causing the BOV to release pressure) It's like a huge vacum leak that's the price you pay to vent it outside. To fix it... Either buy an SAFC or vent it back into the system

Alrite buddy, most of them mention bov but if that still didnt solve your problem. I got one suggestion and its either it works or it dont. I dont know if you did or not but you didnt mention anything about an aftermarket fuel pump. So, if your running stock fuel pump then im 80% sure that its your fuel pump "walbro 255 @ ebay" that your engine is shutting off. To me, it seems that your not geting enough fuel into the injectors while trying to max out in the free way so your ecu automatically shuts off your engine. But if you do have a after market fuel pump then it might be other bigger problems but good luck!!!
