Odd noise from rear when reversing

I have a 1992 240SX SE HICAS and sometimes when reversing while turning sharply or just reversing for a longer than normal time, this weird loud...rubbing type noise comes from the rear of the car. I dont know how to explain it. I have a hunch it has something to do with the HICAS or the fact that my car has 215/60-15 tires on the stock alloys, which is kinda big and could be rubbing?? Any insight would be great.

I also have this. Its like a really loud vibration right? I don't have HICAS though. Someone told me it was a bad brake pad replacement job. They were just recently replaced along with rotors and calipers before I bought the car. I really want it fixed but I don't think they'll do anything about it under new ownership. But I'm gonna go hassle them about it....

check that your ebrake isn't sticking.... unless you don't use it anyway.. I started leaving mine is 1st w/no ebrake and it stopped dong it for me

Ya, that sounds about right Tuli, I guess thats the best way to explain it. Brakes huh....

I don't think its the ebrake, because when i lightly apply the brakes while rolling backwards it goes away...
