on my 98 ka24e i feel a slight grinding feeling on the gas pedal at exactly 1400 rpm. it doesnt seem like a clutch problem because i still feel it with the clutch disengaged, in neutral, and in all gears.. any ideas on what this could be? i also just changed the oil and still feel it

Maybe your cable has chewed through it,s sleeve. That is if you only feel it through the gas pedal. My 2 cents

is it only at 1400rpm? What does it do at idle and at 2k? Is there any noise? How many miles are on it? Any other info is helpful.....

its got 132,000 on the motor, it idles fine at 800 or so. it only does it at exactly 1400. so when i accelerate it will be so brief i dont feel it, but if im crusing through a parking lot in 2nd it's really noticeable as it may stay at 1400..

Is there any noise going on? If there is you might be feeling something in the top end through the pedal. I know when I needed to replace the timing chain I was able to feel it through the pedal and that only happened at a low rpm.
