I suspect my "Intellikey" fob may need a new battery, as twice in a week I've had to use the internal key to get in and start my Versa. But one thing it's doing really has me baffled.
The last two times my wife has gotten into the car after I've unlocked it from outside, and with her fob for my car in her purse, the car won't recognize my fob (red "Key" light comes on when I try to start it and it does nothing) until she gets out of the the car and stands a few feet away! Then it starts right up, she gets back in and the green "Key" light starts blinking on the dash!
Even weirder is that my daughter was also in the car with the fob to her own Versa in her purse, and that didn't matter. It's just when my wife and I both have our fobs for the same car that it won't start. Tonight I'll try hers without mine in the car and see what happens, but I think I'll also pick up a pair of CR2025 batteries to be safe!
