Ok, so I'm swapping motors (threw a rod in cylinder 3, love the 2 in hole in the block) in my s13 and I come across an oddity. On the engine that died (ka-e) I have all yellow top feed injectors with the number "A46-00" printed on the side and "JECS" near the top of them. They are old enough that the bodies are all a nice rust "color". I don't think anything of this and yank the motor. I get to looking at the "new" ka-e and see that they are all physically larger and have red tops with shiny bodies (oooh, bling...). I do a double take and have no idea what's going on. I went out back to check my parts 240 and sure enough, all it's injectors are red tops. This leads me to believe these are the stock injectors for ka-e's.
I am kinda wondering about these yellow top injectors now. They were shimmed with an extra o-ring when in the fuel rail because they were too short to fit all the way to the manifold snug. Any idea what injectors they are?
