The other day i was driving my Z kind of hard and when i shifted, the pedal went straight to the floor with no resistance what so ever. then i pushed down again and it had full pressure. I didnt have to pump the pedal or anything to get the pressure back. would that be a leak somewhere with my slave or master cylinder or would that be a linkage type of problem or would that be a transmission problem. Sometime this winter i am swaping out my transmission so if it is a transmission problem, would that fix it?

If the pedal goes straight to the floor, its either master cylinder, slave cylinder, or clutch(pressure plate or fork). Could be a sign of the Master going out, possibly an internal leak. Best place to look for this is inside the car up by the pedal assembly and see if any fluid is coming out by the shaft, there is a leak. Have you looked around the master or slave for any fluid seepage? Very unlikely will the transmission have anything to do with pedal going to the floor. Look for leakage first and go from there.

This sounds like a hydraulic issue, if the pressure plate went out, it wouldn't necessarily be a one time thing. Odder things have happened though. Keep us posted.
