so i put a clutch in 96G20. Having trouble ajusting clutch cable. specificly i am completely out of adjustment on the cable its screwed in all the way and yet have a LOT of free play. Clutch does disengage and drive ok, but its very close to the floor.

am i missing some other point of adjustment? Not only did i screw in that piece that hooks up to the release fork all the way back to cut back slack i also unbtolted and moved back that bracket thats used to secure the cable.

has anybody had this problem?

**** and what the **** is up with infinity not being able to make a hydrolic clutch system . all this calbe bs is ancient!

Infiniti, not Infinity

Do you have everything in the following diagram installed?

Is the cable you have for the G20 specifically?

Think it might be old and "stretched"?

Forgot to mention in my first post, there is a Hydraulic clutch transmission, yours just isn't one of them.

There is an adjustment on the pedal as well. DId you replace the throw out bearing also and lift the fork back up and lubricate it? That was just a bad design by nissan.

By the way, Nice work posting the diagram. Very nice.

I would say its old and stretched. You don't notice these things until you put a new clutch in. Just change it and be done with it.

An aftermarket clutch cable is just fine if its new and made specifically for the vehicle you want to use it in.

Have you tried contacting http://www.infinitipartsusa.com/?(Trademotion shows the cable for $25.99)
