Ok, first off, sometimes when my brakes are hot (like after driving in stop and go traffic) and then I let them cool (sit for a while in a parking lot or whatever) and then get back to driving, they make a cracking noise. Kinda like pops. I have Axxis MM pads, Goodridge SS lines, Brembo blanks and DOT 5.1 fluid. Any guesses?

Next, I noticed that RIGHT after I started my car today, I had to make a HARD and sudden stop (guy flying through parking lot) my RPMs dropped almost to the point of stall. I tried to replicate the stop again after a few minutes of driving, and the revs acctually bumped up a bit. Is this normal? Sorry if my questions are dumb.

When they get hot do you have any discolored spots visible on the rotor surface? It may be an uneven buildup of transfer film. With some of the more aggressive race compound pads you will get a film on the rotors that will wear down as you brake (after they are cooled off). That's the only think I can think of off hand. The next time you get them hot like that, check them out for signs of streaking/spotting on the rotor. Once they are cool, drive on them and see if the streaks are gone. That's probably what the noise is, the pads wearing down the buildup on the rotor.

Ok, just drove around. Rotors are barely hot (I can touch for like 3-4 seconds) and no funny colors. However, I just noticed that if I make a hard left (Like going around a cul-de-sac) it makes the same noise. It takes a lot of steering angle to get it to crack, but it makes the noise. It only comes from the front passenger's side as far as I can tell.

I have heard this noise in the past, but now, it happens all the time. LCA looks good, but I know that my tie rods and ends are SHOT. Could this be the problem?

Yeah, rod ends can make that noise. So can binding sway bar endlinks.

Can I get under the car and look for anything? I am replacing both this week anyway, so if it still makes the noise, I will be able to rule them out.

Wow. The endlinks are AWFUL, I don't think I can even call what is left "rubber". It took me longer than I had anticipated to put on the coilovers today, so I will throw on my Tein ones later in the week.
