That wing is from a WRC Peugeot 206. I thought that I would keep the parts used for it in the rally family

I think he was referring more to the quality of the chop. The wing, I think, was a great idea, but I can tell you used a picture that was of much lower pixel quality than the original. That or something was added to the wing to make it look cartoonish. Over all a grat job though!

Yup yup!!

I think the wing was an awesome idea, you just needed a better photo to pull it from to make it work. Then it would have looked baller.

Actually they are off of an older Pontiac Bonneville.

While waiting for some more votes I thought I'd throw out some thoughts. First off, the image was not the best to work with due to bad coloration and pretty grainy. I don't know how many times I had to blend the panels to get the color change to work relatively clean. The dark transitions sucked too so that made things a bit difficult as well. I think I had 20+ layers running to clean things up and would have had 50+ if I had not merged down some.

Of the chops it was interesting to see them posted into other backgrounds. Having a hatch, vert, jet and ralley car concept ( how did you do the snow, btw? ) was cool. What I would like to see in the future is more attention to detail, less pixilation, and better blending of add-on parts. Rims having the proper angles and coloration to match the image, body panels blended, etc. are all key and it's cleanliness and attention to detail that I look for in a chop. I just wish I had more time to do some additional skirt and front end work as I see numerous issues with the one I posted.

Thanks for participating and I'll make sure a winner is announced sometime tonight

it was pretty cool to see all the unique ideas that people came up with, those concepts mosdef have a +10 on stuff like mine with just wheels and paint.i guess my S14 sedan wont be making it to the judged portion -DAMN YOU 9-5 PHOTOSHOP JOB! makes it so hard to be motivated after 8 hours of 'shoppin crap.

hoping the mulsanne fanboy-ism carries me to victory!

Actually it was a rather simple process. I used these brushes.

I also used pure white as the color and used different opacities to kind of put thicker "snow" towards the bottom and then thin it out while never really completely dragging the brush along. Just kind of tapped it.

Cool

I have not worked with brushes much. I'll have to play around with it at some other point.

Hey Nali, does that mean if Captain Snow wins next month he has to let you come out and do a chop or something?

Nice job, by the way. Very clean chop.

I think that^ question answers itself.

But if you wanna chop without paying or stealinguse The Gimp. Not quite as powerful as Photoshop, but powerful enough to win this competition, unless people reach godmode by the next contest.

Here is the link to download The Gimp:http://www.gimp.org/downloads/

If you are good at coding the gimp is open source so add whatever you feel is missing.Otherwise just download the latest one and hope for the best.
