i just use tha super (around here its usually 93) because i have been told that if u have too high an octane in ur car than u ignite too fast (sumpin like that) and it can burn ur pistons.

this is true, but only with very high octane gas, like 110octane race gas on a stock engine will burn a hole right through ur pistons, i use premium, ususally 91 roun here, but i found one place near home that uses 93, so i go there, and if u add STP s*** every now and then , it ups ur octane, stepdad used to have a 71nova and ran 590hp at the wheels, car would knock unless he used 124octane jet fuel!!!note: i have a qr25de altima and use highest octane i can find, on road trips i run across 95octane occasionally, but i know over 1oo octane couldscrew up my engine

higher octane ratings do not burn holes through your engine. all the "octane" rating does is tell you how(in laymend terms)well the fuel tollerates heat or how resistant it is to "detonation", IE burning without a spark, or resisting the heat/compressive forces that cause detonation.

THusly, higher octane does not mean more horespower, or any engine dammage. it just means you got "betteR" fuel, or can run more boost, because it WONT detonate.

get it? got it? good.-chet

my motor runs on 104 usually, and will detonate on anything less than 93.

Damn guys where do u all live? San Diego, CA only has 91 octane as highest unless there's one or two gas stations with 92. I'd kill to have the high quality stuff you're running.

Hopefully my RB25 won't run too bad on CA gas or I might have to move...

i'm guessing the motorex skylines run on 91 as well so i don't see any problems :)

You forgot 93 octane, in maryland i only see 87, 89 and 93, and occasionally 94. 93 is the only premium i've seen though
