Well today i take the car in for the last of the oil consumption test. I just have this feeling that nothing will be done. Everytime i tell them that i'm going through almost a qt and a half every 1000miles plus it smokes on start up, they tell me the same thing, it's common. The oil usage i can understand, but you expect me to believe that a car smoking on startup is normal. I think not. I like the M a lot but this is something i can't go for. Might be trading in the car for that new G8 or Lincoln's MKS...after all i am a Ford man.

Give Infiniti Corporate a call - make it very clear to the Dealer that you are going to do this. That is high oil use ... beyond the amount at which Infiniti is swapping out the engines normally.
