OBX Short shifter

ok ok u can flame me all you want but I just wanna know what excatly is the obx short shift and what it does and how it works can anyone help?

what do you mean???? its a short shifter and it shortens the throws of your shifts.

haha waht do u mean shortens the throw of my shift? bear with me im a total noob when it comes to cars

it means that when you shift gears, you dont have to move the stick as far. for instance... the distance you would have to move the shifter from 1st to 2nd would be less. like the gears are closer together. which means you can shift faster which = faster times. not a lot though. short shifters make your shifter feel much better. i really dont know how else to explain it.

Excellent graphic demonstration driftaholic!

Basically... it raises the pivot point... the result is less input from the top of the stick = same reslut on the bottom.
