First of all,if your reply is gonna be "You shouldn't have bought an obx shifter"then find a hammer and introduce it to your head please.Anyway, the shifter feels alright, and shifting is definitely better, but it all seems to have moved.where there used to be first, third and fifth gear is now neutral. And first, third and fifth are now almost at the radio,in fact i sometimes touch the on/off button accidently while shifting. Also i was supposed to use some kind of washers or something to put above that little plastic thing that goes betweek the shifter and the metal plate, but they weren't included so i left it out,and now i can hear it click.Any hints?

The stock radio has an on/off button, and i moved it down to make room for my new cd deck.

so are you saying that it doesn't feel like it is a short shifter.. because the radio is pretty far from the shifter even with the stock shifter...

Oh it's a short shifter alright, and it feels like it.But the whole thing moved up.The furthest down the shifter goes is if i shift to second, fourth or reverse, and even then it's at a 90 percent angle and pointing straight up.

hahahah, you put your shifter in backwards. I did that when I was putting my stock shifter in my SR20. First gear was banging my radio. I immediately figured out my problem. Take it out again.

Yeah just did a test drive with it the other way around, and it's great now.I'm confused though, the stock shifter was directed in the direction i put my obx shifter,i think, and when i tried putting the shift knob on it it turned facing down, and when i tried turning it just 180 degrees to get it straight it broke,so i had to screw it back alittle, making me beleve that i did it right.Maybe obx fuked up.I dunno.I'm enjoying it now though.

It does unscrew from time to time, but not the bolts,i mean the whole shifter.

use loc-tite on the whole shifter, then there is pretty much no chance of you having it comming undone.
