Are these wires any good:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...#BID1

I just bided on them, they're OBX racing 10.3mm wires for 91-98 240sx. My wires are stock 118k miles so I figured these would be good.

Just a basic observation I've noticed, OBX=urine. Not ALL of their products are bad, but like the STBs they sell, you need to use different hardware because they supply cheap, chrome-plated bolts that break once tightened. Their lower tie bar they're pushing is a useless piece made only for looks. From what I've heard from JWT, OE plug wires are the best to run.

Wires are gonna make a negligable difference in your car performance.

I was thinking the aurora wires sold on PDM racing. YOu think they would SLOW the car down? The wires are stock 118k mile wires.

just a note for what i know (i dont know if all brands) bigger fatter wires above 8.5 or something is just more silicone.

if you buy 10.5 mm wires the wires them selfs are the same there is only 2 mm more of silicone for protection.

Another question to ask yourself, "besides the bigger wires above 8.5 having just more protection", is does your stock ignition system have enough juice to actually use all the wire. If there is not enough power being pushed you will loose spark becuase it is lost inside the wire. Just a thought though. . .

I've always heard the stock nissan ignition is really good. So what wires should I get?

I use nology hot wires, and after installing them I actually felt a difference(esspecially above 2800rpm..)! AFter whcih, being very happy,a nd subscribing to the "well, now I got a capacitive dicharge wire set...I need to send some POWER through those suckers!" philosophy, I bought the nology racing coil. THis thing is huge, I had to take it to ballanced performance here in GA(a import modification and high-performance maitnanence shop) to get them to fabricate a bracket just to mount the thing. didn't notice much extra power from the coil swap, but I figured it'd be a good idea if I run nitrous or a turbo(or BOTH!) later on.

side note: almost every modded 240sx seen at BP had nology wires on them, even with a MSD ignition or something, and scott "fuzzy" at nopi uses them on his turbo RX-7... so its gotta count for something :)

Nology wires are very good, however when running a JWT ECU, you'll have a lot of inductive pickup, and will lose power. JWT strongly recommends using stock, or at least NGK wires for any Nissan application. The OE ignition on the KA is one of the best made. While hondas have to upgrade with mild bolt-ons, KAs can run upwards of 400hp without any ignition upgrade.
