getting my g35 thursday and plan on getting the stillen intake for it. i wanna do a few bolt ons for some extra power and for added mpg. i'm wondering if anyone on here has underdrive pulleys? i know they don't add mpg but, they do free up alittle power from the engine. the car is an AT so i don't know how much power i'd feel with the addition of pulleys. i added an underdrive pulley on the crank on one of my previous cars and i noticed it helped on the low end. i'd like to get a set of pulleys which include, water pump, crank, and alternator. i'm wondering if obx pulleys for the g35 are good. i had an obx on my previous car and it worked fine. easy install once i got the right tools. anyone on here have the obx pulleys? if so how are they? also, is the pulley install difficult on the g335? any input would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

Not a fan of underdrive pulleys...they have a negative affect on the car's accessories (alternator, AC). Instead, a pair of lightweight pulleys will have the same affect, but not underdrive the accessories.

What year is your G? I can recommend some other mods, but they depend on the year and if it's a 6MT or AUTO.

It's an 05 g with atx. I love the stock look of the Jim wolf and stillen intakes. Gonna order the stillen within a few days probably. Not really sure what other mods I would benefit from since it's an auto. Any help on that would be appreciated. Thanks.

The JWT popcharger with Z-tube would look more stock than R2C...but it's an oil type filter. I had it on my 05 coupe...the R2C is 10x better looking and the quality is also better...but it's more $$. Since you have an AUTO, the only other intake mod would be the spacer. The 5/16s motordyne spacer is what I had, and it definitely helped the engine breath better. I also had the Stillen CAT-Back exhaust...but I wasn't too impressed with the quality...it was just OK. HKS or Greddy are the best. High-Flow CATS are another great mod!

Lets see...other mods:

Clear corners
Stereo upgrades
1-step fatter tires
MREV2 (6MT only)

Just a few of the mods I did to my 05.

i've used throttle body spacers before but, never manifold spacers. i think i'm going to order the stillen intake. found one for $200 shipped and that seems like the cheapest price i've found. gonna look around some more tho. has anyone dyno'd the manifold spacer yet? if so how much hp did it add?

as far as exhaust i want something that sounds nice and looks somewhat like it came on the car. don't want a big a** fart can on the back. is there any other oem exhaust i could pull from a salvaged car to use and it add power and sound better?

Answered the TB question in another thread...you'll be happy with the Stillen intake. Do you have a coupe or sedan? If you have a sedan, you could use the coupe mid-pipe. It will make the exhaust sound much better! If you have the coupe, high-flow CATS and a CAT-back exhaust system are your only options. No fart cans on the HKS or Greddy systems...but they are $$
