To answer a few questions:

I haven't done a great deal of burnouts/slides. I did some when I was testing it out and occasionally get it sideways in the turns for fun. I love the way it performs. It provides excellent grip and biases power to the outside wheels in turns (as it should). When you exceed the grip of your tires, it will get sideways. It is fairly predictable and controllable IMO.

I use a one piece aluminum, so the clunk is not coming from a carrier bearing. Regarding that, I have recently switched from an XTD 6 puck to a full faced clutch (White Bunny, LUK Pro Gold) and the 'clunk' has all but disappeared to the point of it being a non-issue. I never notice it anymore and unless I intentionally try to make it do it. Even then it is subtle. My drivability is also better, with no more engine bucking and shuddering starts from a dead stop. Highly recommend the full face clutches if your power level allows.

No problems with the diff at all, it's like Ron Popeil says, "Just set it and forget it."

No track time yet. Spare engine is at machine shop. I've done some unofficial 1/4's on the streets and ran low 14's. This on terrible compression on 3 cyl.'s (50, 60, 113). I hope for at least high 12's on a healthy engine. I'm going to 10.5 inch tires with 265 rubber in rear, so I hope to have decent traction when it's all done. I'd estimate two weeks downtime. And I'll update with numbers just as soon as I have them.

I am currently supplying replacment washers for many OBX LSD applications.

Tech info and ordering info is here:

http://rbryant.freeshell.org/obx_washers.htm

I have now sold about 50 sets for the R200 differential and have a solution that both upgrades the differential to use stronger washers and keeps the washers aligned much better than what was provided by OBX.

My solution for fixing the washer alignment problems is to use two larger center washers that hold the stack in place when the normal retainer sometimes fails to.

Please visit my webpage for more info!

Thanks,

Rich

Does this require removal of the pupkin? If so, what else?

i believeeee, u take out the gears from your current diff., and replace it with the obx gears, but if it was me, id just put on a whole new diff instead of buying and replacing interior parts, but thats just me

everyone that i have driven performed perfectly. ive used them with several b seires trannys and dseries trannys, they all worked perfectly. maybe people just dont know how to install them. the only problems i ever had was on the early model for the d series transmission where some clearance issues between the inside of the housing and some set screws. but a file and a few minutes fixed it. and i never had any problems. i dont mean to sound like an ***, but i think they are great pieces of equipment and people who have trouble with them must be very unlucky or mentally incapable of installing something of that difficulty in a fwd car.

I know many guys in the honda camp that run obx parts like diffs, cams, headers, and such. They all love there parts. The only honda diff from obx that had problems were the ones for the H series transmission. It didnt have the bevel cut on the inner part of diff where the axle clip locks into and that would lead to the axles getting stuck in the diff. Great write up too hope to get on soon when the funds build back up.
