Starting my next project on the RB and Im going to be getting an OBX fuel rail, wanting around 500whp, on E85,

Soooo, anybody got links on 1000cc injectors that work in the OBX rail, high impedence, and work with stock harness clips?

If not, atleast some that are high impedence.

I've got the resistor out of a GTR if you need one.

1000cc is kind of overkill for 500 whp isn't it? not to mention a smooth idle would be hard to tune. you should look more into the 650-750 range.

**edit...just saw the e85...you need more fuel for the same hp right? hence the 1000cc's?

the obx rail will take just about any top feed injector. i used supra injectors but just about any other top feed will work too. i believe the obx is rated for 11mm injectors?

you can also use low impedance injectors with a resistor box like chris just mentioned he has

1000s are a little overkill. You could get by 850s or so, but 1000s aren't a bad choice anyways to give a little headroom.

Yea nobody really makes a high Z 1000. You will need to get a low Z injector and wire in resistors.

if the OBX rail accepts the standard 11mm injectors I can shoot you out some Precision Injectors 1000cc , http://shop.rawbrokerage.com/P...X.htm

Low impedance but Chris has you covered on the resistor pack

I have 83lb high Z siemens deka 4's. They *might* be enough for e85 & 500whp

Injector Dynamics makes 1000cc high impedance injectors. The Honda and Supra guys love em because of their ability to run high rail pressures. I'll probably be buying my injectors from these guys since I bought some from them for my integra.

Scroll down a little. They're EV14 Ford racing high impedance injectors similar to injector dynamics.http://www.fiveomotorsport.com...14100

Since the injectors o-rings are 14.5mm, I plan on getting a fuel rail from pallnet.http://www.freewebs.com/pallnet/products.htm

How exactly does one of these install?

Do those work with the stock injector plugs in the harness?

And on the discussion of 1000cc injectors being too much.

Im running E85, going to be running a GT35R, among other supporting mods. I'll be lucky if 1000's are enough.

My buddy has 1700cc in his RB26, his idle sucks, it lopes a little, but its tunable.

Ahh I stand corrected. Those look like High Zs. Yea most manufacturer's wont actually make them in high z because really at those levels you *should* be running a LOW-Z injector so you can get reasonably quick reaction.

FWIW I did >500whp on E85 through 750cc dekas.. I definately wouldn't recommend it though.

850s would have made me comfortable at that number but not too much more. I ended up with 1000cc Delphis. They are doing well at my current level (mid to upper 500s probably) and should hold to just over 600.

FYI pallnet is a buddy of mine and makes some really nice rails.

1700 is kind of crazy to be honest. That sure sounds like overkill and at those levels you certainly should be on a Low-z driver. You would have to be looking for 1000whp or something on E85 to need that big of an injector, and I'd bet most people would run a sequential set at that point anyways just to keep it driving nicely.

1000s WILL be enough for 500whp through e85 period, end of story. No "being lucky"... If you are having fueling problems with 500whp on 1000s it's a fuel delivery problem (read pump/small lines) not an injector problem. Like I said before I've actually run over 500whp on E85 through 750s although it was NOT a smart idea.

Those Injectors also come in a 2200cc high Z version and they supposedly run as well as much much smaller low Z injectors. Those supra guys probably have 3000+cc going through them at bumped up pressure.

What kind of resistors wud I have to get to run the 1000cc Precisions from RawBrokerage? And how would they install.

Wait are high impedance injectors better compared to low in hp ranges of 500 to 700?? Cause i read on other forums that low impedance provide shorter triggering time and also draw more power and need external resistors.. is this true??
