I recently purchased a 97Q and when i purchased the car the MIL light was on. So i went to Autozone and pulled the codes one knock sensor so i ordered new ones and replaced them both. i disconnected the battery the battery so i guess that it cleared the codes. I went to have the car inspected (emssion). Now it comes back OBD readiness. 02 sensor, EGR, and catalyst. I drove the car for about 50 miles and still no MIL but OBD readinessis still there. IS THERE A DRIVE CYCLE ????????????? What am i missing???????????

I was told that several hundred miles assured OBD readiness-just a thought.

Number of cold cranks and warm ups is part of cycle, just driving 50 miles won't necessarily do it. Try a few 10 mile drives and shut downs and restarts.

Fully explained in your FSM.
