Evap Canister Control Valve r&r books out at .4 of an hour to replace, so this can't be too hard to get to. Take a look around the canister or it's area and see if you can find anything wired in, I will snoop some and see if I can come up with a location for it...

I think I may have found it... It appears to be on the driver side rear of the vehicle (where the muffler is on the pass side). It is attatched to the canister. I do not have a part number or price for you. I would suggest a factory service manul for part locations. I always buy the part, then go hunting for a match under the hood. If it doesnt work out, I take the parts back....

Yep that's where it's at. It's ~$80-$90 and is a very common problem on maximas. Veeeerry simple to replace.

As long as you don't snap a bolt or crack the evap canister in the process of removing it.

OOPs, I did break off the 2 bolts that go into the canister. Any suggestions? Also, any suggestions as to get these two parts? The control valve and canister? The dealer wants $125.00 for valve and $178.00 for canister.

The dealer is the only place to get the canister. I'm not sure if you can get the VCV from an aftermarket parts dealer.
