Anyone know where I can find one for a good price? My check engine light came on and I don't want to pay $85 at the dealership for a diagnostic.

you cant scan an OBDI like an OBDII if thats what you mean... BUT you can follow the guide at http://www.240sx.org its really not hard to pull codes from your ECU

I think you can scan obd1 just like obd2.If you have AutoZone out west, I know they read codes for free. (obd2, at least)

I think on OBD1 car's you have to jump a sensor with like a paper clip and count the number of times the check engine light flashes, then find out what it means. Example: light flashed 10 times and find a code book and 10 flashes might mean bad cat. or something like that.

Whats the point of OBD1 if you cant scan for codes??

The ECU flashes the code using long flashes for the first digit and quick flashes for the second digit (maybe the other way around).
