I've been searching and cant quite locate what im looking for.

I have a 91 240 coupe with an s13 ka, i found a 96 ka on craigslist for $350 but not ecu or harness.

I should add my ka isnt running right. Cylinder 1 isnt firing and last night I got my compression tester stuck in cylinder 2 -.-

I guess my question is can i just swap parts over so I can continue to use my s13 ecu and harness?

I want to research this more but I'm at work and i'm suppose to meet this guy after work to check out the motor but i don't want to waste his time if I have to also try to track down a harness and ecu.

HELP!

Yes, but I think you need to swap intake manifolds too

You'll need to swap a few things.

Intake manifold if you don't want to throw codes.
CTS. OBD1 and OBD2 CTS are different.
Distributor. S14 uses an internal ignition coil where s13 is external.
O2 sensor MAYBE. I think they're different.
and MAYBE TPS, can't remember on that one... Search on here, it's somewhere.
Try to get the s14 header and downpipe with the motor. I think the EGR tube is bent differently. It's 5AM give me a break. I'd search for you but I'm too lazy.

thanks guys, I ended up deciding to just build my motor instead of buying another one.

CTS Sensor i didnt change. it works fine with my 96 KA in my 91 S13.
02 sensors are diff, The 96 uses a 2 wire where as the S13 uses a 1wire.


Basicly when i swapped mine, I put on the S13 Manifolds and Emissions. Should have gutted the Intake and the Emissions but was pressed for time. All sensors bolted up using the S13 manifolds(intake and exhaust). :biggrin:
